Grace Fund

From their website:

The G.R.A.C.E. Fund helps hospital clients who cannot afford treatment or routine care for their dogs.

What is the purpose of the G.R.A.C.E. fund?

The fund is designed to help clients of the UGA Veterinary Hospital who have demonstrated the need for financial help to cover the cost of any medical procedure for their dog. The fund is set up to help dogs who are ill, injured, or require routine care which their owners cannot afford. Assistance will be given each fiscal year as long as funds are available.

Where does the money for the fund come from?

Some of the proceeds from the annual G.R.A.C.E.'s Birthday Party are contributed to the fund. But the fund relies mainly on private gifts from dog lovers like you who understand how much dog owners care about their pets and how difficult it is to see animals suffer.

What is Grace's Birthday Party Birthday Party?

The party takes place every year on the spacious grounds of Ashford Manor Bed & Breakfast in Watkinsville, Georgia. This year's event will take place on Sunday, September 16. As many as 600 dogs and their owners attend this entertaining event, which features games and refreshments for people and their pets. If you and your dog would like to attend, call (706)769-6132 and ask to be included on the mailing list.

What kind of treatment will the fund pay for?

The G.R.A.C.E. fund will cover preventive care as well as treatment for diseases like cancer, hip dysplasia, eye and skin diseases, diabetes, arthritis, obesity, and a host of other ailments dogs can suffer from.

How can I help?

Your generous gift to the G.R.A.C.E. Fund is a thoughtful way to honor or memorialize a pet while making assistance available to dog owners who need financial help. Please make checks payable to the UGA Foundation/G.R.A.C.E. Fund and mail it to :
